The Bible says all power & authority has been given to the church.  Jesus said to go preach the gospel, signs and wonder would follow those who believe, cast out demons in my name.  Gods desire is bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth but why don’t we see the power of God in the church?  That’s a good question.

I believe there a many reasons why the church in America is so weak and not flowing in the power of God. One might say they are selfish and just to busy building their own kingdoms which is true. But the area I want to touch today is that the body of Christ need to be complete and whole in every area of their life spirit soul and body.  True salvation will heal every area of our life.

Unless the body of Christ lets God in to heal and touch those wounds inflicted by others, the church will never fulfill their destiny. Too many Christians have buried the pains of the past where they live the lie and say Everything is fine and I’m Okay.

The greatest tool Satan has is deception.  Where we deceive our selves and others Satan wins.

6 Steps to becoming healed of past hurts

1: Be humble
James 4:10   Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

2:   Let go of the past
Philippians 3:13     Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead

 3:  Forgive
Matthew 6:12
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

4:  Let the spirit of God heal you
Psalms 41:4   LORD, be merciful to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.

5: Renew your mind
Romans 12:2   And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

6:  Expose the darkness
James 5:16   Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed

Take these few steps and see what God can do with your life. This is the beginning of living a victorious life. Remember salvation is a journey you take one step at a time.  If you get off the path repent and continue the journey.
